Starting fights that they never seemed to win. The plot dragged, especially at the start where there was just a lot of running around. It still certainly wasn’t a masterpiece in any way though. David certainly wasn’t as horrible as he was in Firefight. I was dreading reading this, but it didn’t turn out quite as bad as I thought it was going to be. And David is just about crazy enough to face down the most powerful High Epic of all to get his friend back. Redemption is possible for Epics-Megan proved it.
